The vibration sensor is based on 801S sensing element. This vibration sensor operates in any direction and is extremely sensitive to any type of movement or vibration (very small shock). The module output is normally low and outputs a series of random high pulses when a vibration or shock is detected. The vibration sensor uses resistive element that changes resistance with motion.

The on-board LED is normally ON and goes OFF momentarily or appears to flicker when a shock is detected. You can adjust the sensitivity of the sensor using the potentiometer so that it suites the application you need. The applications of this sensor is not limited. It can be used in alarm and security system, intrusion detection, shock detection, motion detection, collision detection, landslide and seismic applications.
